Post-Retreat Integration Hub

Resources to weave into your daily life after practicing with Lama Rod Owens

You’ve had an expansive, deep experience at Lama Rod’s daylong, multi-day retreat, or gathering, and you might be wondering… what’s next?

You may be still processing and sitting with the insights and revelations that came up for you as you re-enter your day to day routine.

You might feel puzzled on how to even begin to explain to someone else the significance of what just happened.

You may be longing for continued support to help you integrate your practice to your daily life.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you.

After years of offering gatherings in-person around the world and online, Lama Rod and team have gathered a curation of resources to support your practice beyond the gathering that just concluded.

✨ May these resources be a balm for your grief & heartbrokenness, and a spring of joy & hope for you as you continue the path of healing and getting free. ✨

Take it Slow

We’ve done a lot of werk together, both in the physical and spiritual realms. Take your time re-entering your day to day. If possible, schedule in more rest and alone time to buffer your re-entry back into the hustle and bustle of work and home life. You may feel more sensitive to the external environment especially if you are in a busy city with a lot of sensory stimuli. Lean on nourishing practices such as staying hydrated, taking baths, spending time with your local tree, connecting with your ancestors and guides, and resting when needed.

What's one thing you can do today to take it slow?

Reflect

Here are a few questions for you to reflect on as you move through the following days, weeks, or months. We invite you to sit with these questions over time, and incorporate freewriting, journaling, art-making, or other forms of expression that calls to you in your contemplation.

  • Who were you before the retreat, and who are you now? Who are you becoming?
  • What is one takeaway that resonated with you?
  • Which practice(s) felt like coming home to yourself?
  • What were your intentions going into this retreat? Has that intention changed or stayed the same? Were there any unexpected revelations in the process?

Release

Take a few cleansing breaths as you watch the fire and be with sister síofra's words. Reflect on what you have chosen and continue to release.

Set up your altar or sacred space for meditative practice. Offer your body and the space cleansing through burning incense or plants such as lavender, rosemary, or another plant you feel an affinity with.

Calling In

  • What is one word that reflects your nugget of wisdom? Write that word and include a drawing or picture if desired. Or, find an item that represents that theme for you. Place it in an area that you will see daily or often as a reminder, such as your altar, fridge, or mirror.
  • Consider the space that is left open from what you have released. What do you feel called to call into that space instead?

Bringing Forth

  • How would you describe how this experience impacted you to a friend or someone in your community?
  • What is one thing you seek to do differently going forward?
  • How might you share a practice that you learned with someone else, or in your werk?
